Saturdays are for the Girls…
A little staycation weekend in Minneapolis was on the agenda. Food, Pampering and Fun where to top priorities.
MSP on a spring evening.
We had a free weekend so a mom daughter stay-cation was much needed but with no time to travel to a warm place for R&R we made due of fabulous Minneapolis!
Our day started out with some pampering at Spalon Montage in Edina. We experienced facials and hair-care (cut and color) JSL bonus our hair was finished with a blowout so it was done for the weekend. “I loved that they provided warm lavender neck pillows at the end of the facial treatments, great touch.” The esthetician was very knowledgeable and even cleaned my brows up for me. I’ll be back especially with the great price of $99.00.
Next we headed down the street to the Salut restaurant ….we might have had to try their Bloody Mary after all it was Saturday.
Then you can’t be on 50th & France and not take on a little retail therapy! As previous mother daughter boutique owners we know how to shop and always find great fashions at Evereve and the service is always amazing in the Edina location.
After lunch and shopping we headed back for a catnap and got dolled up with our new digs for a night on the town. We had a reservation at a newer restaurant called Tullibee , in the North Loop. I gotta say this little restaurant is so Chic, it’s got an urban sophistication to it while being housed in the Hewing Hotel.
Our waitress for the night, Kate, should have the title of director of great dining experiences. She loved her job, the chef and the restaurant — and oozed it! She recommended a great bottle of wine and some of her favorites on the menus. Note: everything we ate was amazing. My guess is everything on this menus is good. I’ll be back as I have a few JSL gals to share this find with!
Next it was time to catch a night cap at the bar upstairs in the Hewing Hotel. Ladies this is gonna be a great spot for happy hour in the summer. Amazing views of MSP and do I mention an outdoor rooftop pool.
As many of you know we are big Spoon and Stable fans as the have great Espresso......martinis and the best cream cake so we did walk the two blocks to squeeze in at the bar for our favorite desert.
That, ladies, wraps the night up because after the day of pampering, shopping and being foodies we were tired.
